Club History
Stalbridge football club was founded in 1889 although one of Dorset’s oldest clubs they had to wait until Season 1960-61 to get their first taste of success, winning Division Three and finishing runners up to Netherbury in the Dorset Junior Cup.
The club next success came in 1969, winning the
Dorset Minor Cup, Division Four of the Dorset League, and also the Dorset Sunday Junior Cup. In 1991-92 the club gained promotion to Division Two of the Dorset League only to be relegated back
to Division Three.
In the 1994 -95 Season. The clubs real success came in 1995 -96 when the
First team won Division Three NE, the Junior Cup and Division Three NE League Cup, whilst the
Reserves won Division Four NE and were runners up in the Dorset Minor Cup. Promotion To
Division One was gained in 2002 -2003 whilst in Season 2003 -04 the Reserves gained promotion
to Division Three NE only to be relegated back to Division Four. The first team were promoted to the Dorset Senior League in Season 2006-2007. The club did not enter a Reserve side in Division Four.
In 2007-2008, the first team were relegated back to Division One. Season 2008-2009 the club entered the Reserve side in the Dorset Division Four.
